Anxious Patients

At Sheppard Yorkland, we know that, for some of our patients, a visit to the dentist can cause a lot of anxiety. We offer a comprehensive range of sedation services to make the process less stressful.

Feeling anxious about visiting the dentist? We can help.

For some people, anxiety is caused by the thought of an injection, or even post-operative discomfort.

Our team will to listen to your concerns, and help guide you through every step of your appointment.

We want each of our patients to be relaxed and actually look forward to their appointments!

It's normal to be afraid to try new things.

That's why our entire team will make sure that before performing any procedure, you are made fully aware of the details.

Anxious Patients, North York Dentist

Bad experiences can stay with us a long time. Simply entering a dental office can cause anxiety for patients. Just let our team know if you've ever had a bad experience because it is our job to make you feel comfortable and secure in our space.

Still nervous? We offer sedation dental services.

Oral Sedation (uSleep Dentistry)

Oral Sedation can range from mild to moderate, where patients are given oral mediation prior to their visit.

Patients remain awake during their procedure, but are relaxed and drowsy, allowing dentists to work while patients remain relaxed.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous Oxide is suitable for people with severe phobias and is administered through a mask and inhaled gas.

Also known as “laughing gas,” this approach allows patients to sleep comfortably through their examination or procedure.

If you have questions about sedation options, contact our office to book a consultation, and find out if it's right for you.
