What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a series of clear aligners that straighten your teeth like traditional braces, but without metal and wires. The clear trays are custom-made for your mouth.
Each set of aligners, generally changed out biweekly, makes tiny adjustments to your teeth. During the treatment period specified by your dentist, you can remove your aligners to eat and drink, and to brush and floss your teeth.
Before Invisalign
Invisalign can treat a number of issues. Before you begin treatment, your teeth may be crooked, misaligned, have a gap, or a combination of these.
After a consultation with your dentist, you will get a treatment plan that also sets out what to expect at the end of your custom Invisalign treatment.
Every individual case varies, but no matter the issues being treated, it's important to follow the plan and instructions set out by your dentist.
After Invisalign
There is a variety of things you can expect after Invisalign. It all depends on the nature and extent of your misalignment and treatment plan.
No matter the issue, you're more likely to achieve the results laid out in your treatment plan if you follow all of the recommendations your dentist has provided.
If you follow the plan prescribed by your dentist, you can expect to see generally straighter, more even teeth by the end your treatment. You may even see an improved bite or gap. Most of all, you may feel like showing off your smile.
